Gift certificates

You can buy a gift certificate online for tickets to performances or for membership.

Delivery

You will get the electronic gift certificate by email on the next working day after your purchase.

You can choose to send the gift certificate:

  • to yourself
  • to someone else

We cannot send gift certificates by post.

Expiry date

Gift certificates must be used within 36 months from the date of purchase.

Redeem a gift certificate
Redeem for tickets
  1. Sign in to your account or register for a new account
  2. Select tickets for the production you want to attend
  3. Proceed to checkout
  4. Enter your gift certificate number on the payment page
  5. Choose how much of the gift certificate to redeem against your purchase
  6. Accept the terms and conditions and place your order
  7. Your tickets will be sent to your email address as e-tickets
Redeem for membership
  1. Sign in to your account or register for a new account
  2. Go to roh.org.uk/support/membership/friends
  3. Find the level of membership listed on the gift certificate and select Join/Renew
  4. On the next page select Add to Basket
  5. Proceed to checkout
  6. Enter your gift certificate number on the payment page. The payment amount will be zero
  7. Accept the terms and conditions and place your order
  8. Your membership is now active

You can also contact the Membership team to redeem your membership gift certificate. You will need your certificate number and contact details including your address.

Terms and conditions

  1. You cannot use gift certificates at the Royal Opera House cafés, bars and restaurants, or in the shop.
  2. You cannot redeem gift certificates for cash in part or whole.
  3. Gift Certificates cannot be refunded.
  4. Gift Certificates cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  5. The Royal Opera House cannot control or guarantee delivery on or before a specific date and cannot accept responsibility for any late delivery.
