Ticket Exchanges, Resales and Refunds

We cannot exchange tickets to another ROH production or give refunds. However, there are flexible options available to you:

  • Up to 24 hours before the performance, you can exchange tickets for an account credit to use at a later date. You will need to do this online, via the Royal Opera House Account of the ticket purchaser. You can do this by clicking 'Manage your visit' in the Tickets tab. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4 per ticket.
  • If it is less than 24 hours before the performance or event, you can offer your tickets for resale through the ROH Box Office. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4 per ticket.
  • We do not offer exchanges on individual tickets sold as part of a box. A Royal Opera House account credit will be issued to the value of the collective price paid for all tickets within the box (minus administration fees of £4 per ticket).
  • The exception to our flexible booking options includes our Ballet Tea and Tour package. Ballet Tour and Tea tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable from 4 days before the date of your tour.

For instructions on how to exchange or resell tickets please read our Terms and Conditions of sale.

Cancellations and cast changes

We notify ticket holders by email if we know of a major cancellation at least two days before the performance. As much notice is given as possible. Details of all major cancellations will also be shared via our front of house screens prior to the performance. Cast changes will also be highlighted on the relevant event page on our website.

Rehearsal Tickets

General rehearsal tickets cannot be offered for resale, exchange or account credit, but you can donate them back to the ROH.
