Victoria Behr

Born in Koblenz, Germany, Victoria Behr studied costume design at Hamburg University for Applied Sciences. She has collaborated with Barrie Kosky at Komische Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper, Dutch National Opera, Opéra de Lyon, Vienna State Opera and at the Salzburg and Aix-en-Provence festivals. She has been awarded Costume Designer of the Year five times by German magazine Theater heute and in 2013 won the Costume Designer of the Year award in the category ‘Opera’ by Opernwelt for her designs for Frau Luna at Volksbühne Berlin and for Peter Eötvös’ Tri Sestri at Zurich Opera. Other collaborations include productions with directors Benedict Andrews, Lucia Bihler, Herbert Fritsch and Antú Romero Nunes at the Young Vic, Burgtheater, Vienna, Royal Danish Opera and English National Opera.
