I think one can count the number of performances Natalia Osipova will dance this season on the fingers of two hands.

Oh this is so sad. I saw her last time with Acosta and she is phenomenal. Have a ticket for March 29th so fingers crossed. Am really pleased Sarah Lamb got good reviews - no easy task.

She is not scheduled for any RB performances in April or May. Is this because of he Injury? If so, that's very worrisome indeed.

      Hi Morton,
That's correct. Sarah Lamb replaces Natalia Osipova in Giselle on 17 March 2016 due to injury.
      All best,
      Rose

Ms Osipova was never meant to be in the cast of Winter's Tale, Within the Golden Hour nor Frankenstein, which were created for or mounted on other company members, and she was only meant to have performed in Giselle in February and March. I doubt her current injury is related to the April-May casting. Obsidian Tear looks like it is meant to have only male leading roles. That said, the casts for performances of The Invitation have not yet been confirmed, and she is still scheduled to be performing with the Bolshoi Ballet as well as at Sadler's Wells Theatre this summer, if that's any consolation.

  5. Marianela Nunez is dancing Myrtha!!! Drop everything and go see this performance!!!! - I'm so pleased that I have tickets. I'm equally happy to see either Sarah or Natasha as Giselle.

Oh that is so sad. I booked to see N. Osipova especially, and also did so in the fall, but have not seen her because of her injuries.

Is Natalia Osipova's injury for the whole run of Giselle? If so, I presume she will not be dancing on March 29th?

    • Rose Slavin (Former Assistant Content Producer) responded on 17 March 2016 at 5:18pm

      Hi Natalie,
Natalia Ospivoa is currently in rehab for her injury. However, she is still hoping to perform on 29 March. If she is unable to, we will make an announcement as soon as we are informed.

      Many thanks,
      Rose

Marainela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov were superb last night. Standing ovations.

I agree: Nunez and Muntagirov were out of this world last night. I have not experienced so emotionally charged a performance of Giselle for a long time - perhaps because they were so well-matched in their superb all-round artistry.

Yes a stunning performance from Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov. Marianela looked as though was in flight in the second act. She was breath taking. They were wonderful together and think this will be a superb partnership.

Marianela was breathtaking as Giselle. Her very distinct and emotional portrayal of her character was absolutely wonderful!
