Gardener, broadcaster and novelist Alan Titchmarsh is to make his West End debut as the narrator in Will Tuckett's production of The Wind in the Willows.

Titchmarsh will narrate the adventures of reckless Toad and his long-suffering friends Ratty, Mole and Badger through verse, story and song. Previously, the role has been performed by Blackadder star Tony Robinson and Will Tuckett himself.

The production was staged at the Duchess Theatre in 2013, marking the Royal Opera House's first commercial transfer. It was named Best Entertainment and Family Show at the 2014 Olivier Awards, and returns to London's West End for an eight-week run at the Vaudeville Theatre from 26 November 2014.

The Wind in the Willows runs at the Vaudeville Theatre from 26 November 2014 to 17 January 2015. Tickets are now available.
