From 11–13 March, along with a group of other theatres and Arts organisations, we will be attending The Big Bang Careers Fair which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC. The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK, targeted towards 7–19 year olds. Our aim is to educate young learners about technical careers available in the creative industries, such as: theatre technicians; scenic carpenters; metalworkers; automation technicians; and lighting and sound engineers.
Industry professionals will be available on our ‘Backstage Careers’ stand to enlighten and educate young people about how the magic happens behind the scenes, and to answer questions about the various routes into the industry. Find out more about this event.
