Background

Devoted and Disgruntled is the collective title for a series of Open Space events, facilitated by Phelim McDermott and Lee Simpson, Artistic Directors of theatre company Improbable (Satyagraha at ENO, Theatre of Blood at the National Theatre). For ten years McDermott and Simpson have been coordinating events across the UK using ‘Open Space Technology’, a system that allows groups to self-organize and collaborate around a shared concern. For the first time they collaborate with The Royal Opera, in a two-day event to discuss the future of opera.

Devoted and Disgruntled enables like-minded people to come together to discuss their concerns and discover solutions. The event agenda is set by participants on the day – nothing is off the agenda, nothing is censored and everyone present has the opportunity to do the work they need to do, in the way they want to do it.

Please use the booking link below to purchase your ticket for this event. The event begins at 10am on Saturday 6 June and finishes at 5pm on Sunday 7 June. Your ticket will guarantee you entry for the duration of the event.
