Amphitheatre Restaurant and Terrace
With walls hung with images from iconic Royal Opera House productions, the Amphitheatre Restaurant is a smart and elegant venue. The à la carte menu changes regularly and includes weekly seasonal specials. Our Head Chef is inspired by classic British and European dishes, and his menu is full of rich, seasonal flavours. During the warmer months, the Amphitheatre Terrace also provides a lovely outdoor space, perfect for enjoying the elegant view onto Covent Garden Piazza.
The Amphitheatre Restaurant is open to members of the public for lunch and afternoon tea, Monday to Saturday. To make a reservation, simply telephone +44 (0)20 7212 9254.
In the evenings, the Amphitheatre Restaurant is open exclusively to ticket-holders for the evening’s performance at the Royal Opera House. Your table will be available roughly two hours before the curtain goes up (from 5:30pm for most performances) and held for you throughout the night so that you and your guests can enjoy the very best that the Royal Opera House has to offer, both on and off stage. For younger members of the audience, a special Children’s Menu is also available.

You can also add restaurant reservations to your shopping basket up to 72 hours before performances for which you have tickets.
Amphitheatre Terrace
Sharing the menu of our Amphitheatre Restaurant, the Amphitheatre Terrace is perfect for pre-performance and interval dining at opera and ballet performances during the summer months. There are also outdoor heaters to counter the occasional chill in the air. From 19 May until the end of the Season, it is open to both theatre-goers and the general public for lunch and afternoon tea, and for ticket-holders only in the evenings.
