Maestro's Circle

The Maestro’s Circle is a unique opera philanthropic initiative for all music lovers who would like to deepen their knowledge about the work of the conductor and, in particular, about the role of the world-renowned Royal Opera Music Director, Maestro Antonio Pappano.

Schedule of events: 2015/16 Season

Supporters will be warmly invited to the following:

Monday 16 November 2015
A coaching session led by Maestro Pappano of Jette Parker Young Artists soprano Jennifer Davis  and tenor Samuel Sakker accompanied by Jonathan Santagada on piano, followed by an  opportunity to meet with Maestro Pappano*

 

Tuesday 24 November 2015
An afternoon sitzprobe rehearsal with the principal cast and chorus of Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana and Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci led by Maestro Pappano and followed by an informal reception with Maestro Pappano and members of the cast*

 

Monday 7 December 2015
An evening around a performance conducted by Maestro Pappano Cavalleria rusticana / Pagliacci, including a post-performance party with the cast hosted by Maestro Pappano*

 

Wednesday 17 February 2016
A chorus rehearsal session of Musorgsky’s Boris Godunov led by Maestro Pappano and Chorus Director Renato Balsadonna followed by an informal reception with Maestro Pappano, Renato Balsadonna and members of the chorus*

 

Thursday 2 June 2016
A coaching session led by Maestro Pappano of Jette Parker Young Artists mezzo-soprano Emily Edmonds and baritone Yuriy Yurchuk accompanied by Jonathan Santagada on piano, followed  by  a reception with Maestro Pappano*. This event will take place at an external venue*

 

Tuesday 14 June 2016
A full stage and orchestra rehearsal with the cast of Benoît Jacquot’s production of Massenet’s Werther led by Maestro Pappano, followed by afternoon tea with Maestro Pappano and members of the cast*

 

* All tickets and catering will be in addition to your gift. Artists' availability is subject to confirmation. All the above events are timed to coincide with Maestro Pappano's involvement in productions.
