Welcome Performances are for people who have never been to a ballet or opera at the Royal Opera House. These performances are for invited audiences of people from lots of different backgrounds. Although they were previously open to the public, they are now for invited audiences in order to expand the reach of the programme.

This Season we are thrilled to be in partnership with a number of NHS Trusts as part of ROH Thanks the NHS. This Season-long initiative is our way of showing our thanks to NHS Key Workers for their incredible work during the pandemic and beyond. We are forging partnerships directly with trusts to make sure tickets go directly to staff.

If you are eligible for Welcome Performance tickets, you will be contacted by your relevant NHS Trust employer.

In December 2021 we invited NHS Key Workers to the yearly Paul Hamlyn Christmas Treat, featuring a gala performance of The Nutcracker, and in March 2022 we are inviting NHS Key Workers to a performance of Swan Lake.

The Paul Hamlyn Christmas Treat of The Nutcracker is generously supported by the Helen Hamlyn Trust in memory of Paul Hamlyn.

The performance of Swan Lake as part of ROH Thanks the NHS is generously made possible by The Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation, two anonymous philanthropists and with additional kind support from the Rachel Charitable Trust.
