Background

This new production by Lost Dog performed by Ben Duke and Solène Weinachter tells the story of Shakespeare’s young lovers; except in this version they didn’t die in a tragic misunderstanding but lived not-so-happily ever after. They’re now in their mid-40s, going through a mid-life crisis and trying to escape the pressures of being the poster couple for romantic love.

Lost Dog is an innovative company that combines dance, theatre and comedy to tell stories in unique ways. Juliet & Romeo explores what happens beyond ‘happily ever after’, in a humorous and heartfelt investigation into love, loss and longevity.
