Hatch is a wonderful new sensory experience for children aged 2–5, created by the inspiring, specialist children’s theatre company Polka Theatre in collaboration with The Royal Opera. With a vibrant musical score by Brazilian percussionist and composer Adriana Adewale, Hatch takes children on a journey through worlds bursting with a mesmermizing blend of sights and sounds influenced by samba and jazz.

New sounds are discovered in unlikely places – from flowing water and whistling winds to the beautiful call of a bird – setting imaginations alight with evocative, rich rhythms. Hatch is co-directed by Adewale and Polka Theatre’s Artistic Director Peter Glanville, and takes place in Polka’s intimate Adventure Theatre in Wimbledon.
