Gianluca Buratto

Biography

Born in Italy, Gianluca Buratto studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He is regular guest in important theatres and festivals as: La Scala in Milan, Opéra in Paris, Opera and Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Regio in Turin, Amasterdam Teatro del Maggio in Florence, San Carlo in Naples, Opernhaus in Zurich, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Salzburg Festival, Wigmore Hall in London, Wexford Festival Opera and Glyndebourne Festival working with conductors as Muti, Lopez-Banzo, Rousset and Gardiner. In 2017 Buratto was engaged in a Monteverdi project conducted by John Eliot Gardiner taking part in the worldwide tour of Il Ritorno di Ulisse in patria, L’Orfeoand L’Incoronazione di Poppea. Most recently, Mr. Buratto performed in his first solo recital at the Wigmore Hall in London, Simon Boccanegra in Copenhagen, La bohème in London, L’Incoronazione di Poppea in Budapest and Falstaff in Florence.
