Egor Zhuravskii

Biography

Russian tenor Egor Zhuravskii joins the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme in the 2020/21 Season. 

Zhuravskii was born in 1995 in Astrakhan, Russia, and studied at the Astrakhan State Conservatory, where he obtained a Masters degree in music. In September 2018 he joined Astrakhan State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, where he has sung Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Roderigo (Otello), Spoletta (Tosca) and Ruiz (Il trovatore). In Spring and Summer 2018 he performed with Astrakhan Drama Theatre. 

Zhuravskii has received awards from the 38th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, the 46th All-Russian Review Competition for vocalists and the Third International Maria Maksakova Competition.
