Mozart's dazzling tragicomedy telling the story of serial seducer Don Giovanni opened on Monday.
What a stunning evening. Something about the communal experience and energy I missed so much. Welled up at the ovation.

I know I am privileged but there is nothing to compare with live music making

Opening night @RoyalOperaHouse with @jefurness. The cast & audience may be socially distanced but that didn’t stop the cast from giving an incredible performance & shining bright & the audience from showing their appreciation & love. #theatre #openingnight #dongiovanni #opera 💖 pic.twitter.com/cG1Rae6GTZ

Fantastic Don Giovanni at the @RoyalOperaHouse tonight. Erwin Schrott and Gerald Finley on sparkling, witty, laddish form, and Adela Zaharia and Nicole Chevalier are terrific as Donna Anna and Donna Elvira. Staging of the final scene still doesn’t work, though…

@yup: 'I'd know that Devlin design anywhere! Wow! Congrats to everyone who can attend - this is going to be amazing'
