Beautifully designed costumes and set, featuring the most fantastically lurid kitchen in the world. Great singing across the board from cast and chorus. And (Jesus Christ!)Fenton's aria in Act III, Scene 2 was especially lovely.

I really like this production but it's very under cast for a bit summer show. Maestri and Devin did well but the others were really not on the level I would expect from the ROH.

Great fun and musically very good indeed - Maestri was terrific! But setting the action in the 1950s makes the final scene particularly ridiculous as people then didn't believe in fairies. And why put Bardolph and Pistol in Scottish gear?

    But musically a treat!

We came to the final performance and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a terrific way to finish the season.

Thanks ROH for another year of great entertainment, and despite all the upsets I'll still retain my Friends membership. I look forward to next season.
