As part of the World Ballet Day live stream on 1 October, we want to see your attempts at one of ballet's most iconic steps, the pirouette.

We'll be featuring some of our favourites during the event, live-streamed via YouTube and the Royal Opera House website from 3am BST.

To enter, film yourself attempting a pirouette - ideally in an interesting location - and upload it to YouTube or Facebook, tagged with #WorldBalletDay.

World Ballet Day is a global first, showing live behind-the-scenes action from the rehearsal studios of five world-class ballet companies. The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet will each take the lead for a four-hour period. Viewers will be able to interact with dancers, choreographers and coaches by asking questions throughout the day via social media. Find out more about World Ballet Day.

Your free digital guide to World Ballet Day is available here - simply type in the promo code: worldballet14 to claim your free guide (usual price £2.99). Please note that the promo code is case sensitive.
