Director, John Fulljames, opened the event by giving a brief introduction to his production of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny.
The Insights event also featured a performance from internationally acclaimed soprano Angel Blue who recently played Mimì in ENO’s autumn 2014 season. Blue sang works including Mahagonny’s now iconic ‘Alabama Song’, a piece that has been sung by many non-operatic artists including David Bowie and The Doors.
