The Royal Ballet's preparations for Wayne McGregor's Infra were recently streamed via the Royal Opera House YouTube channel. The full Insight session is now available to watch on-demand.

Set to a score by Max Richter, the ballet has won fans the world over since its premiere in 2008. Originally inspired by the London bombings in 2005, Infra sees 12 dancers portray the emotions beneath the surface of human interaction. It remains one of McGregor's finest works, and one of contemporary ballet's most emotionally resonant pieces.

Subscribe to the Royal Opera House YouTube channel for notifications about future livestreams:

Infra will be performed in a mixed programme alongside The Unknown Soldier and Symphony in C, running from 20-29 November 2018. Tickets are sold out, although returns may become available and a limited number of tickets will be released each week via Friday Rush.

Wayne McGregor's position as Resident Choreographer is generously supported by Linda and Philip Harley.

Do we know who will be rehearsing this evening?

  3. Thanks for this insight, really, thank you. I'd been having a hard time accepting McGregor's work. But while seeing this rehearsal something happened inside me and since the beginning I began to like it all so much. By the end of the session I was getting chills and tears with Mayara's performance. I loved it and have begun to watch the DVD again. So sorry we won't be getting a DVD with the new cast and lighting this time. I'd have bought it.
