The start of a new year offers the chance to reflect, as well as look forward.
If you had the opportunity to see any of our performances over the Christmas period, you are likely to have seen the Royal Opera House Christmas tree decorated with personal and often touching messages of support from those who have contributed to the annual Pointe Shoes Appeal. Thank you to everybody who donated. Together, we have helped The Royal Ballet by providing an amazing 1,321 pairs of pointe shoes and on I would very much like to thank everyone for their generosity. While Christmas is now over and the tree has been taken down, any continued support of this important campaign is greatly appreciated.
The Summer Magazine is on its way to you with a full list of performances until the end of the 2015/16 Season. Please note that, ballet casting - not included in the magazine due to publication schedules - is now on our website.
We are currently in the process of implementing e-ticketing. We recently carried out an e-ticket survey in the Paul Hamlyn Hall with Friends and found that many expect this service from theatres and value the convenience it offers. As a result we will begin to roll-out this facility from Premium 2 Friends booking on 16 February but please note that the e-ticket option will initially only be available to those booking online. Find out more about our new e-ticketing service.
Finally, over the coming months you will notice changes during your visit to the Royal Opera House as the result of Open Up project work. The project aims to enhance the experience of coming to the Royal Opera House. Over the coming months, please visit our Open Up pages for up-to-date news which may affect your journey and access to the Royal Opera House.
All at the Royal Opera House wish you a very happy new year.
