The Opera Machine and The Royal Opera/Roundhouse/BBC Arts live stream of Monteverdi's Orfeo have won Lovie Awards.
Now in its fifth year, the Lovie Awards are among the most significant awards for digital production and honour online excellence across the EU. Awards are decided by public vote.
The Opera Machine — an online interactive experience allowing users to watch Wagner's Die Walküre from any one of 17 cameras — won the Gold Award in the Music and Entertainment category.
The live stream of Orfeo won the bronze award in the Events and Live Broadcast category.
Both projects involved large backstage and broadcast teams including the ROH and Roundhouse stage crew, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the Orchestra of the Early Opera Company.
Other winners this year include Google Creative Lab, the Guardian, Mario Testino and Vice News.
