Jason Bell, the leading British photographer behind a number of the Royal Opera House's World Stage images, has been confirmed as the official photographer for the christening of Prince George this afternoon.
The World Stage campaign ran from 2005 to 2012 and saw Jason photograph opera stars including Jonas Kaufmann, Angela Gheorghiu, Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón; and ballet stars including Darcey Bussell, Carlos Acosta, Lauren Cuthbertson and Edward Watson in their countries of origin. His images in turn inspired our series of promotional films.
Away from the Royal Opera House, Jason has also photographed for some of the world's foremost publications including Vanity Fair and Vogue, as well as shooting film posters for Billy Elliot and Love Actually. His work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and in 2011 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Royal Photographic Society.

Dear ROH - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make these Jason Bell images available as posters. I have requested/asked/harangued the Gift Shop and phoned Marketing and still no sign of them being printed. They are the most striking images of the RB dancers many of us have ever seen and yet have not even popped up on a calendar! Why the elitism? :-0(
I second the above comment; these images would be stunning as posters and I think many an opera and ballet fan would love to have these hanging on our walls!
I have been looking for these for a long time and know lots more people doing the same... What a great idea to get them printed as posters..
