ROH website now features 'people pages'

Web pages featuring biographies, images, videos, related links and upcoming ROH performances available for artists and creative teams.

The ROH website now features 'people pages' which allow users to explore content related to a specific artist or creative team member.

Profiles feature biographical information, upcoming and recent casting information and - where available - related film footage, photography, news and feature articles, and Shop products. This addition follows the implementation of our website as mobile-ready.

Pages are dynamically-generated, drawing in content from our YouTube and Flickr channels and Tessitura, the database which drives our Box Office. Find out more about the technical side of our website.

As of today, we're linking to these pages automatically from the credits for our productions, and you'll increasingly see these pages in search results. With the sheer number of artists on-stage and off at the ROH, some pages may be light on content – but more material will be added closer to the start of the run of a particular production.

See an example page for The Royal Ballet's Edward Watson and one for opera star Joyce DiDonato.

What do you think of these pages? Is there anything that should be altered?

These pages are gorgeous. The only thing missing for me are links to the artists' official websites / social media feeds (unless there's a specific reason why they've not been added?).

      Dear Dana

      Thanks for the comment.

The pages are still a work in progress, and although we have added related links to many of them we have not had the chance to update every entry.

      Best wishes
