Paterson Joseph to present LIVE cinema relay of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny

Actor to give audiences a glimpse behind the scenes on 1 April 2015.

English Actor Paterson Joseph will welcome audiences for a glimpse backstage as the live presenter during the cinema relay of Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny on 1 April 2015.

From the Channel 4's Peep Show to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Julius Caesar to Danny Boyle’s The Beach, Paterson Joseph is well-known for his extensive credits across TV, theatre and film. He made his Royal Opera debut this Season as the Voice in John Fulljames’s new production of Brecht and Weill’s satire, which had its world premiere on 10 March. During the relay, which will be screened in more than 1500 cinemas across over 35 countries, Paterson will interview members of the cast and production team. A series of backstage films exploring the creation of the production will also be shown.

Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny will be screened live in cinemas across the world on 1 April 2015. Find your nearest cinema. The Season continues on 5 May with a live screening of The Royal Ballet’s La Fille mal gardée.
