Online streaming service TIDAL are offering a free trial of their service for ROH audiences.
The service is the first to offer high fidelity, lossless sound quality for streamed audio, as well as high definition music videos and expertly created editorial. With a particularly strong classical music offering, the service offers over 25 million tracks as well as curated playlists.
'Our legacy is extremely important to us,' Director of The Royal Opera, Kasper Holten told TIDAL in a special interview. 'The voices of the greatest singers still resonate in the walls of our auditorium, and we are proud to have this history documented so well. It helps us all appreciate where we come from – and in many ways it’s what we have to live up to every day when trying to deliver the best possible opera today. But more than anything these recordings are simply exciting in themselves, and it’s a privilege for us to have these amazing performances available to us today.'
