Two new organizations have joined ROH Links, a skills sharing and capacity building programme offered by the Royal Opera House to smaller and medium-sized performing arts organizations.
Dance Woking, which offers community engagement projects in Surrey; and Revelation St Mary’s, based in Ashford, will become the newest members of the ROH Links programme. The two new organizations will join Norwich's The Garage, Mid Wales Opera, and Farnham’s Stopgap Dance Company for the third year of the scheme.
Developed in partnership with Arts Council England, the programme gives partners a chance to shadow staff at the Opera House as well as a range of 1:1 meetings to share knowledge, experience and skills. Previous scheme members include Balbir Singh Dance Company, The Opera Group and Pavilion Dance South West.
'We now have a clearer idea of how we can best assist the companies and we are always hungry to learn from their experiences too', said Alex Beard, Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House. 'The partnerships demonstrate in another way how we are contributing more widely as a resource for the nation'.
Those interested applying for the fourth year of ROH Links should check back when the search re-opens in January 2016.
