Sergei Polunin is dancing Armand with Natalia Osipova - a ballet he is very familiar with and we know it was their dearest wish to be able to dance more works together. However, the cinema relay is not going to feature Osipova or Polunin, Sabine-it will be Zenaida Yanowsky's farewell performance with the company so she will dance Marguerite in that with Roberto Bolle- she is wonderful as Marguerite and he is an excellent dancer in everything he has danced. It will be a wonderful show. For Polunin's performances, I do recommend a short trip to London from Munich, Sabine - there are many flights from Munich to London daily and it will be a delightful treat. Hurry, before tickets sell out!

  2. I knew Natalia's "TBA" was going to Polunin! (or at least I knew Mr O'Hare was considering it). That should keep Mr Polunin's keen fan club very happy! Genius casting for this triple bill. Fab way to finish off the season!

  3. Thank you Kevin O'Hare for Frankie and Marci together! Dream team - pun intended :'D

  6. Thank you Mr O'Hare! Happy to be able to see Polunin and Osipova on the 5th and on the 10th. Perfect match!

Very excited for this triple bill. I've seen The Dream before but not Marguerite and Armand or Symphonic Variations. Looking forward to seeing Alessandra Ferri and Federico Bonelli on 6th at the matinee. They were stunning in Woolf Works.

Why why why aren't you filming Osipova /Polunin? Please please do an extra cinema relay?

Amen .... it makes marketing sense to film Osipova and Polunin together. They both have a HUGE following as seen by their sold out performances.
Many many DVD's would be sold .... my name is 1st on the list for that precious DVD!

hmm...I would have been interested to see what some of the younger company members would have made of this. E.g. Ball, Edmonds, Ella, Golding. To see what they would have made of a hot-headed, poetic, young man deeply in love.

I don't think the Casting is brave or thrilling, it's safe, predictable, aggravating, distressing & short-sighted. It has the usual tone & ignorance of an unforgiving structure - It doesn't represent any good English dancers of mature age in the lead role as a 'Whore' - are we not Sexy enough? have we not suffered enough, don't spread our legs enough to meet the Criteria - Sir Fred enjoyed very Female Dancers, the biggest expression of laughter for us then, is that we are not there!

I was over the moon seeing Polunin will be performing at The Royal Ballet...just to discover all performances where Polunin is dancing are SOLD OUT.

Absolutely thrilled that we will see Roberto Bolle dance at the ROH once more - his chemistry with Zenaida is electric - they have been friends for such a long time and it is so fitting that he should be her partner when she finishes her career. We are coming to the performance on 2 June and then we will sit in the cinema on the 7 June and watch it all again. Can't wait! Well done Kevin O'Hare!

Does anyone know why Polunin is not dancing with Osipova in this ballet?
