Leaving a gift in your will will support our work, both on stage and behind the scenes. Every gift helps us to create and stage new works, revive heritage favourites and nurture future generations of talented performers and craftspeople.

Your gift supports our work

Each year gifts in wills that go into our Endowment Fund support:

• Eight Main Stage productions
• One Linbury Theatre production
• A work that brings ballet and opera to the next generation through our learning programmes
• Our craft departments

In the 2019/20 Season, ballet productions supported by gifts in wills are:

• Enigma/Concerto/Raymonda Act III
• Coppélia
• The Sleeping Beauty
• Swan Lake

Opera productions supported by gifts in wills are:

• Otello
• Death in Venice
• La bohème
• Madama Butterfly

You can direct your gift to support ballet, opera, new talent and education or the general work of the Royal Opera House.

Types of gift you can give

You can decide what type of gift you want to leave us:

• Residuary gift – you leave the remainder of your estate, or a percentage of it, once family and friends have been provided for (this type of gift is not affected by inflation, so keeps its value over time)
• Pecuniary or cash gift – you can specify an amount of money

How to leave us a gift

You can either:

• Leave a gift to us when you make a new Will
• Amend your existing Will using a codicil form
• Complete a letter of wishes (though this is not legally binding)

All legacy gifts are held by our endowment fund. You will need to give your solicitor the following details of the fund:

As a Baton Associate we will keep you up to date with our news over the course of the Season. We also hold special events to share our work with you. In the past these have included:

• A rehearsal of The Nutcracker
• A recital featuring young artists from the Jette Parker Young Artists programme
