Background

Join Abigail Toland, producer of Second Movement, and a panel of commissioners from across the UK opera industry including Managing Director of Schott Music Sam Rigby, Co-Head of Artist Development, Sound & Music Hannah Bujic, Director of Opera, The Royal Opera Oliver Mears, Projects Manager, Opera North Jo Nockels and Chief Producer, BBC Symphony Orchestra Ann Mackay as they discuss their individual approaches to making new opera, and look at what is being done to achieve gender balance in the commissioning of new work.
