Background

Lewis Carroll’s classic story is brought brilliantly to life in Christopher Wheeldon’s delightful ballet. An explosion of colour, stage magic, inventive choreography, puppetry and projections bring a host of extraordinary Wonderland characters to the stage in this ballet like no other. Lauren Cuthbertson dances the title role, with Federico Bonelli as Jack/the Knave of Hearts, in this Royal Ballet performance that was broadcast live to cinemas on 23 October 2017. This screening gives audiences another chance to see Cuthbertson, who the role of Alice was created for, dance in this enchanting ballet – one for the whole family to enjoy.
