The Royal Opera's inaugural Engender is a weekend of events that put women working in opera at the front and centre.
Royal Opera House, Bow Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9DD
This event is part of the Summer 2018/19 season.
Join author and chief music critic of The Observer, Fiona Maddocks, as she meets some of the women making new opera in Britain today, and find out more about why and how they do it. A panel made up of composers Bushra El-Turk, Hannah Kendall and Tansy Davies, and conductor and Music Director of SWAP’ra Jessica Cottis will share their experiences of the industry and provide insight into their artistic processes.
Produced in association with SWAP’ra.
