What I need to know before I attend:

No glassware permitted - plastic jugs will be available at each screening

Due to the nature of the venue, all seating is on stone paving so we recommend you bring a cushion or blanket. No portable seating, garden chairs, tables or gazebos are permitted. There is limited purpose built temporary seating for those with special requirements to reserve a seat please contact Access Dept. Box Office, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9DD

Food & Drink – The on-site licensed Café will be open throughout the event selling a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks, and ‘picnic specials’.  You are welcome to bring your own picnic. Please note no naked flames are permitted on site – including garden candles, barbeques or similar.

Please be aware that streets surrounding Trafalgar Square are designated as a ‘no drinking zone’ by Westminster Council; so please only consume alcohol within the event arena.

Litter and recycling facilities will be available on-site. Please help the Royal Opera House minimise its costs by placing all rubbish in bins provided, or taking litter home with you.

Access - Trafalgar Square is accessible to all. There are 2 lifts to enable direct access from the North Terrace to the main part of the Square.  Disabled toilet facilities on site. There are a limited number of disabled car parking bays adjacent to the Square. Please dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions. For special seating requirements at Trafalgar Square please contact; Access Dept. Box Office, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9DD.

How do I get there?

Underground - Closest Tube stations are Charing Cross (Bakerloo & Northern Lines), Embankment (Circle & District Lines) and Leicester Square (Piccadilly Line).

Rail - Charing Cross Station serving South East London and Kent is 5-minutes walk.

Bus - Numerous Bus services serve the Trafalgar Square area.

Car - Limited parking available.  NCP Spring Gardens is a 2-minute walk, in addition to limited meter parking nearby.
