What I need to know before I attend:
Centre Square has open access to all. The site is level with a mixture of grass, paving and metal pathways. We shall be providing some chairs on site and you may wish to bring your own cushions or blankets as well. There will be food and non-alcoholic drinks available to buy from stalls in the square, alternatively please bring your own picnic. Portable furniture is not permitted. No alcohol is allowed in Centre Square, as the town is an alcohol free zone. All litter should be disposed of in bins provided or taken home. Please dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions. Children must be accompanied by adults.
How do I get there?
Car
All routes to town centre. Parking is available at the Council car parks – please note that access to some car parks may be restricted
Train
Middlesbrough Station is a few minutes walk away
Buses
All routes to city centre
Council Restrictions:
In the interest of public safety, the following conditions will apply in Centre Square:
• Free entry to the event enclosure is on a first come first served basis subject to capacity.
• Event stewards will be entitled to search persons &/or their possessions on entry to the event enclosure. Staff will not take responsibility for any prohibited items.
• Prohibited items include, but are not restricted to, large parasols, gazebos, awnings and portable barbecues.
• The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to the event enclosure for whatever reason.
• All children (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult.
All litter should be disposed of in the bins provided or taken home. This is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions.
