Foyle Foundation and ROH Production Workshop
A major contribution from the Foyle Foundation has helped the Royal Opera Houseto build its new production facility, the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop in Thurrock.This new building opened in December 2010 with The Purfleet Opera a community opera with over one hundred and fifty community participants singing, dancing and creating sets and props.
This exciting new production facility will now go on to directly and substantially impact on and improve the ability of the Royal Opera House to pursue its world-class production values. We will also be able to continue to contribute to regional development plans for the Thames Gateway, as well as advancing the UK-wide agenda for promotion of backstage careers.
