First Night Patrons receive four seats of their choice for the first night of each production, or any other night of their choice. Platinum, Gold and Silver Patrons can book 10, four or two tickets respectively, for any performance of their choice. All Patrons also receive highest level priority booking for all performances in the Linbury Studio Theatre and the Clore Studio Upstairs.
Gold and Silver Patrons receive priority booking for open dress rehearsals whilst Season, First Night and Platinum Patrons receive two complimentary tickets.
Private box office
Whatever arrangements you wish to make in relation to attending performances and dining in-house, you can ring through to the Patrons Box Office and Patrons Dining Booking Office. Patrons are also exclusively able to return tickets for resale, exchange tickets for another performance and to be wait-listed for sold out performances, at no extra cost.
Dining and Entertaining
The Amphitheatre Bar and Restaurant looks out over the Covent Garden Piazza, and the balconies restaurant sits above the stunning Paul Hamlyn Hall, whilst several private dining rooms can be hired for dinner post performance or private celebrations. As well as these, there are also several other unique spaces which can be booked or hired for dining, entertaining or meetings. Patrons have priority booking for available spaces, and may receive a discount.
As well as being the first to receive the Royal Opera House Season Guide, Patrons are sent About the House, our quarterly magazine with insights, interviews and performance information. We also send out a monthly e-newsletter with offers, updates and links to all the latest information and cast changes.
Throughout the Season, Patrons are invited to a wide variety of exclusive events, including The Chief Executive’s Dinner (for Season, First Night and Platinum Patrons only), pre-performance receptions, Royal Ballet in Class, the Season Preview, private views of new in-house exhibitions, gala nights and other exclusive behind-the-scene events.
Acknowledgement of your support
We are hugely grateful to all individuals and companies who decide to become Patrons of Covent Garden. In thanks we are pleased to credit you in our Annual Report, on the Supporters’ Board in the Royal Opera House foyer, in all main theatre performance programmes and on our website. You can of course, choose to remain anonymous.
Patron membership has turned the Royal Opera House into something like a second home for us and what a glorious home it is, providing almost as many moments of pure joy and exhilaration as life outside its doors, and admittedly more occasions for tears.
Professor Steffen Huck, Silver Patron
