American Friends of Covent Garden
If you are based in the U.S. then do consider joining the AFOCG. In recognition of your support, a variety of privileges are available for members, including priority booking for performances and events at the Royal Opera House in London throughout the year.
The AFOCG is a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations made by U.S. taxpayers are tax-deductible to the full extent provided by the IRS.
Levels of membership
Supporting Friend @ $500 (tax-deductible contribution)
Privileges:
- Advanced performance schedule and order information for all Royal Opera and Royal Ballet performances
- Priority in requesting two tickets per production
- Invitation to the annual Season Preview presentation by senior artistic staff
- Invitation to a cocktail reception on the first night of productions supported by American Friends
- Full-year subscription to About the House, featuring news and production insights (published quarterly)
- Annual Season Guide
- Listing of your name on The Royal Opera House website
Premium Friend @ $1,000 (tax-deductible contribution)
All of the above privileges, plus:
- Opportunity to purchase a limited number of tickets to select rehearsals
- Invitation to and priority booking for gala events
Benefactor Friend @ $2,500 (tax-deductible contribution)
All of the above privileges, plus:
- Private backstage tour for you and your guests
- Priority in requesting two tickets per performance
- Priority in requesting tickets to selected Royal Opera House events including ballet master classes
- Invitations to special events in London
Patron Friend @ $5,000 (tax-deductible contribution)
All of the above privileges, plus:
- Personal ticket service by telephone or email through the Patron box office at the Royal Opera House
- Highest level of priority for ordering two tickets to all performances
- Priority in purchasing additional tickets to dress rehearsals
- Opportunity to purchase tickets in the Royal Box and dinner in the adjacent Royal Retiring Room
- Invitation to meet artists and management during your visit
- Invitation to join senior staff for pre-curtain drinks throughout the season
- Listing of your name on the Royal Opera House website and in the Season Guide
- Advance notice for special events in London
- Invitation to Royal Opera House visit to London

The support the Royal Opera House receives from the AFOCG makes a vital contribution to the presentation of world-class performances by The Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera both in the UK and abroad, and every donation makes a difference.
