Elektra Syndicate

Richard Strauss’s thrilling and audacious adaptation of the Greek tragedy Elektra receives a new staging by the award-winning Christof LoyAntonio Pappano conducts music that combines violence with moments of exquisite tenderness in his first Strauss interpretation for The Royal Opera since 2002. The outstanding cast includes Nina Stemme (Brünnhilde in last Season’s Der Ring des Nibelungen) in the title role, and Karita Mattila in her role debut as the haunted queen Klytämnestra.

The Elektra Production Syndicate is a special opportunity for philanthropists who wish to deepen their knowledge of the art form and gain a unique insight into the staging of this new production of Strauss’ masterpiece. Supporters are invited to make a gift to join the Production Syndicate. There are also opportunities for tailored individual involvement at Role and Production level.
