Contemporary Music Circle

The Contemporary Music Circle is a philanthropic initiative for individuals who are interested in gaining a deeper insight into the inspiration, techniques and experiences of composers writing for opera and ballet. Discover the origins of the vast variety of orchestral techniques, the striking colouristic effects and the profound imagination of today’s musical minds.

The Royal Opera House’s commitment to music brings a richness of talent to both the main stage and The Linbury Theatre. Members of this new circle will enjoy a series of enlightening discussions from the composers and creative teams behind works of both opera and ballet which include a contemporary score. The discussions will take place at special events around rehearsals, performances and in private homes.
