A new production from the Bolshoi Ballet with choreography by Yuri Grigorovich. Performed for the reopening of the renovated world famous stage. This performance also celebrates American dancer David Hallberg's Bolshoi debut as Prince Désiré, the first American soloist to be hired by the Bolshoi Ballet. Princess Aurora is danced by principal dancer Svetlana Zakharova, who was also featured in the DVD recording of The Pharaoh's Daughter in 2004. They are joined by a great cast including Maria Allash, Artem Ovcharenko and Nina Kaptsova.
