Description
The Flames of Paris is a two-act classical ballet inspired by the tumultuous events of the French Revolution, with music by Boris Asafiev based on French revolutionary songs. Originally choreographed by Vasily Vainonen for the Kirov Ballet in 1932, the ballet was reconstructed in 2008 by Alexei Ratmansky for the Bolshoi Ballet. This 2010 performance features some of the most talented soloists of the Bolshoi Ballet, including Natalia Osipova, Ivan Vasiliev, Denis Savin and Anna Antonicheva.
