Clore Studio Upstairs

The rising star choreographer, Alexander Whitley, responds to Ashton’s ballet Sylvia in a new work.

When to see it

Alexander Whitley, a former Choreographic Affiliate of The Royal Ballet, creates a new work in the intimate space of the Clore Studio Upstairs in response to performances of Frederick Ashton’s ballet Sylvia on the main stage.

Whitley takes inspiration from the character of the moon goddess Diana. He sets Bryce Dessner’s 2014 work for strings Réponse Lutosławski.
