Background

The new Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet was formed in 2013 to provide a unique development programme for 13 young dancers, to bridge the gap between professional dance training and being part of a professional company. The programme draws together emerging talent from around the world, and in Springboard 2014 the inaugural company dazzled UK audiences with their vibrancy and beauty. They new company now returns with a new mixed programme.

The mixed programme includes excerpts from repertory classics, including Napoli Divertissements and Swan Lake. The company also performs Hans van Manen's Visions fugitives and contemporary repertory by Milena Sidorva and Ernst Meisner, the programme's artistic co-ordinator. Completing the programme are two premieres: Robert Binet's Surface and Juanio Arques's Blink.
