The Royal Opera House Learning and Participation department invites you to join us for a mixed programme featuring performances from both the Youth Opera Company and Level 2 and 3 dancers from Lambeth and Southwark’s Chance to Dance Company.

These two long-term performance projects demonstrate the Royal Opera House’s commitment to nurturing young performers, developing their skills and providing opportunities for them to explore their talent and creativity.

The Youth Opera Company will perform three new short commissions:
Out of the Ruins by Charlotte Bray (composer) and Kate Kennedy (librettist)
Colony by Evan Kassof (composer), Aleksander Hut-Kono and Ruth Mariner (librettists)
Mighty Oaks Academy by John Barber (composer) and Denton Chikura (librettist).

Chance to Dance Company and members of The Royal Ballet will perform their own version of La Fille mal gardée, inspired by Frederick Ashton’s production.
