French tenor Yann Beuron made his Royal Opera debut in 2007 as Gonsalve (L’Heure espagnole), reprising the role in 2009. He has since sung Chevalier de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites) for The Royal Opera.

Beuron initially studied sociology and later trained at the Paris Conservatoire with Anna Maria Mondi. He made his debut with Opéra national du Rhin in 1995 as Belmonte (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) and his Paris Opéra debut in 1996 as Arcas/Mercure (Hippolyte et Aricie). He has since sung widely in Europe, specializing in French and Mozart repertory. He is particularly well known for his interpretation of the role of Pelléas (Pelléas et Mélisande), which he has sung for companies and venues including Teatro Real, Madrid, Liceu, Barcelona, La Monnaie, Brussels, and Deutsche Oper am Rhein. His other appearances include Fridolin XXIV (Le Roi carotte) for Opéra de Lyon, Idamante (Idomeneo) for Aix-en-Provence and Bremen festivals and at the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Four Servants (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Admète (Alceste) for Paris Opéra, Tito (La clemenza di Tito) and Pylade (Iphigénie en Tauride) for Teatro Real, Le Sire de Barbe-Bleue (Barbe-Bleue) in Graz and Le mari de la fille aînée (Boesmans’s Au monde) for La Monnaie.

Beuron has appeared in concert with France’s leading orchestras and with the Rotterdam Philharmonic and Swedish Radio Symphony orchestras. He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon’s Archive label, for EMI, Virgin, Erato and Philips Classics. His recordings include Fauré songs and Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ.
