Aud Jebsen Young Dancer

Biography

South Korean dancer Seunghee Han joined The Royal Ballet as an Aud Jebsen Young Dancer at the start of the 2023/24 Season. 

Born in Seoul, Seunghee began her ballet training aged 9. She trained at Yewon School, the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Art (KNIGA) and Seoul Arts High School. She won 1st prize at the 2nd Tanzolymp Asia International Dance Competition in 2019 and at the 17th Seoul International Dance Competition in 2020. She participated in her first Royal Ballet School Winter Intensive in 2019. She joined The Royal Ballet School as a first year in 2020. After 3 years at the School, she graduated in 2023.

While at The Royal Ballet School, she performed the main role in Jiří Kylián’s Sechs Tänze, Christopher Wheeldon‘s Within the Golden Hour and the Garland Dance from Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty. During her pre-professional year at the School, she performed with The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in The Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella,  and with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker.
