English singer-songwriter and keyboardist Rose Elinor Dougall made her Royal Ballet debut in the 2016/17 Season performing in Wayne McGregor’s Carbon Life.
Dougall was born in London and attended the Camberwell College of Arts. She performed with the Pipettes, 2003–8, releasing the album We Are the Pippettes and two Top 40 singles, ‘Pull Shapes’ and ‘Your Kisses Are Wasted on Me’. She has since pursued a solo career, and has released the albums Without Why in 2010 and Stellular in 2017. Other solo releases include the EPs The Distractions (2012) and Future Vanishes (2013).
Dougall has provided guest vocals on tracks by Brakes, Is Tropical and Rufus Wainwright. A frequent collaborator with Mark Ronson, she co-wrote ‘The Night Last Night’ on his album Record Collection and is a member of his touring band.
