Biography
English dancer Madison Bailey joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme from the start of the 2019/20 Season and was promoted to Artist in 2020.
Bailey was born in Tunbridge Wells and began dancing at the age of seven. She trained at The Royal Ballet School as a Junior Associate, and continued through both Lower and Upper School. Performances while a student include in Concerto, Les Sylphides, The Conservatory, Sleeping Beauty and Multiplicity.
While at The Royal Ballet School, she danced as Vixen (Sharp-Ears) in the premiere of Liam Scarlett’s The Cunning Little Vixen. Her professional performances while a student included dancing with The Royal Ballet in Liam Scarlett’s Swan Lake, and with Birmingham Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker.
