Lucy Hall



English soprano Lucy Hall made her Royal Opera debut in 2015 as Lila (The Firework-Maker’s Daughter).

Hall trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio. Operatic engagements include Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) for Aix-en-Provence Festival, Asia (Wakening Shadow, world premiere) for Glyndebourne Festival, Lucia (The Rape of Lucretia) for Grimeborn, Sandrina (La finta giardiniera) for the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg and Opéra de Toulon, Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice) and Susanna and Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) for Scottish Opera and Susanna for Diva Opera on tour in the UK and Europe. Operatic engagements in concert include Marzelline (Fidelio) with the BBC Philharmonic and Bridesmaid (Der Freischütz) and Flora (The Turn of the Screw) with the London Symphony Orchestra, recorded for LSO Live.

Hall’s many appearances in concert include Bach’s Cantatas on tour with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Glanert’s arrangement of Schubert’s Einsamkeit with the BBC Philharmonic, Elias with Ensemble Pygmalion, the Messiah with the Royal Choral Society, Mozart’s Coronation Mass at St John’s Smith Square, Mozart’s Exsultate, jubilate with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozart’s Requiem at the Ambronay Festival and St John’s Smith Square, Nielsen’s Third Symphony with the LSO and Colin Davis and Alexander’s Feast for Aldeburgh Music.
