Australian dancer Kevin Jackson makes his Royal Ballet debut in the 2018/19 Season as the Prince in The Nutcracker.
Born in Perth, Jackson began his training at the Shirley Farrell Academy of Dance before joining The Australian Ballet School, graduating in 2002. He joined The Australian Ballet in 2003 and was promoted to Principal Artist in 2010. His repertory includes Prince Désiré (The Sleeping Beauty), Albrecht (Giselle), Oberon (The Dream), Onegin and Lensky (Onegin), des Grieux (Manon), Siegfried (Swan Lake), Romeo and roles in Balanchine’s Apollo, Jerome Robbins’s A Suite of Dances, and in contemporary ballets by John Neumeier, Alexei Ratmansky, Wayne McGregor, Jirí Kylián and Graeme Murphy. He has danced as a guest artist with Houston Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
