Katie Shillingford

Fashion director

Biography

Stylist and fashion editor Katie Shillingford made her Royal Ballet debut in 2016 as fashion director for Wayne McGregor’s Obsidian Tear.

Shillingford was born in London. She studied graphic design at Camberwell College of Arts before beginning her career as a stylist with Gareth Pugh and as a fashion editor for Dazed and Confused magazine. She went on to become Fashion Director for AnOther Magazine, and regularly collaborates with Pugh on his collections and fashion films.

Shillingford has worked with such photographers as Nick Knight, Craig McDean, Ryan McGinley, Paolo Roversi and Collier Schorr, and designers including Viktor & Rolf and Gucci.
